Webinar: Election Denialism in America

March 2023 1 min read by The CEIR Team

David Becker, Executive Director of the Center for Election Innovation & Research (CEIR), summarizes the findings of a new CEIR poll of GOP voters, conducted by Echelon Insights, showing that voters are somewhat more confident in U.S. elections now than they were a year ago. Despite this progress, the poll also shows that many Americans still believe unfounded conspiracy theories about widespread voter fraud.

Becker also gives a readout of a focus group of election deniers convened in Arizona by pollster Frank Luntz. Becker shares the high points of the moderated discussion, held in partnership with Arizona State University, which explored the media landscape, and who those skeptical of U.S. elections really trust. Also included on the panel were Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, Maricopa County Supervisor Bill Gates, and CBS Chief Washington Correspondent Major Garrett.
