As the Project Lead for the Election Official Legal Defense Network (EOLDN), Kathren Coleman oversees the strategic development, outreach, and communications for the program’s work matching election officials with legal advice and assistance.
In serving election officials through her work at CEIR, Ms. Coleman uses her over 20 years of experience in government, campaign and nonprofit administration to lead outreach and communications for the Election Official Legal Defense Network.
Ms. Coleman graduated from Arizona State University with co-bachelor’s of science in political science and economics. She is a former Arizona Certified Election Officer and Deputy Recorder for Communications in the nation’s second largest voting jurisdiction. Additionally, she has held professional memberships through the Election Center, Government Social Media Organization, and the National Association of Government Communicators.
When she is not focused on improving elections for voters and election officials, or volunteering with high school youth interested in pursuing careers in government service and communications, Ms. Coleman enjoys exploring Arizona’s hiking trails and America’s National Parks, pointing out planets and constellations in the night sky to her family and friends, and spoiling her two rescue cats, Cleo and Meeko.
With a passion for issues that intertwine scientific thinking and creative problem solving, Ms. Coleman has found herself at home in the always evolving world of elections. She lives in Arizona with her partner and family.
