Outreach & Engagement Specialist, Texas

Sarah is the Outreach and Engagement Specialist for Texas at the Center for Election Innovation & Research. She has dedicated her professional career to community engagement and developing projects that drive systematic, community-wide, and organizational change. Sarah has lived in and supported Texas communities for over 14 years, and joined CEIR in August 2024 to focus on the state’s election officials.

Before joining CEIR, Sarah served as a community coordinator at the Texas Council on Family Violence. In that role, she supported civil, legal, and nonprofit systems in developing policies and procedures based on best practice models for coordinated responses to domestic violence. Additionally, she led and managed national training programs and statewide research projects.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies and Sociology from the University of Missouri and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas. She is also a Licensed Master Social Worker.
